What is 'A White Page"?
"A White Page" is simply that...a white page that is used for the home page of a website.
We are asking that you write legislators and ask for legislation that requires 'a white page' be put as the home page of any adult or pornographic site.
If wording was included on the page, such as, "You are about to enter an adult site. Click here to continue. Hit the 'back' button on your browser (or "X" to discontinue)," it would allow anyone who wanted to view the material to continue. It would also give parents an opportunity to teach their children that if they saw 'a white page' to easily click out of the site, thus protecting children from being inadvertently exposed to images that are inappropriate.
Don't think having 'a white page' is enough?
Then also tell your legislators you want them to pass laws for all adults sites to have 'a white page cover page' or have any inappropriate site's domain name temporarily removed from the internet viewing, until a while page is added and children are afforded that protection. |
